The pro-tem Chairman and President of both the organisations, and recipient of the ‘Padma Shri’ Award, Shri Hari Dang, is a well-known Schoolteacher-Principal-Rector, an educator, mountaineer, wildlife and environment-naturalist, specialising in Sustainable Equitable Development *and has been Chief Editor of the Quarterly International Journal of Sustainable Development. His over four decades of experience spans famous educational institutions such as The Doon School, Dehra Dun; The Air Force School, Subroto Park; St. Paul's School, Darjeeling; The Army Public School, Ridge Road, New Delhi and Mata Jai Kaur Public School, Delhi. AND served on the Expert Committee(s) on National Parks and Sanctuaries and Wildlife Conservation in India (1970), of the Indian Board for Wildlife; and Expert Committee on Infrastructure Development and Miscellaneous Projects of the Ministry of Environment and Forests; AND Indian Delegate, of the Indian Delegation to the United Nations Earth Cummit on Environment and Development, at Rio de Janeiro, in 1992.
